Don’t overload your equipment unnecessarily. You don’t always need many things, but they take up space and weigh. As your character develops, your carrying capacity increases, and you can also find larger backpacks, which may not be fully useful at first, but they will be as you develop.

• Oxygen tanks – there are enough of them on Nesoi, but you have to look for them. There are air refillers in many places. As a last resort, leave the shelter with one tank, it’s safer to have 2 or 3, unless you know the location of another nearby shelter well;
• Make sure you have access to water. You will find it, but in limited quantities.
• Look for a canteen, you can refill it in many places;
• Save food and drinks marked [EC] (EVA Suit Compatible) for critical situations, you can consume them in the EVA Suit on the surface, but rather use more easily accessible food in normal packaging, in shelters;
• You can use some backpacks for gathering only, others for scouring the area, store excess items in chests;
• Equip yourself with weapons! Even weak weapons will allow you to defend yourself from predators and will certainly keep them at bay for some time. It also allows you to hunt and replenish your precious food supplies, those found on Ahra Prime will eventually run out!
• Take care of your weapon. You can clean it anywhere, repair it only at the appropriate workshop. Dirty and worn-out weapons jam more often, which can have fatal consequences at a critical moment. Weapons get dirty and wear out faster in bad weather conditions.
• Save ammo – it does not grow on trees, which are not here anyway;
• You can often ignore minor injuries, but even such cumulative ones can be dangerous and worsen your condition unexpectedly! They also limit your stamina and movement speed. Heal regularly as needed;
• Avoid falls. In the strange baren world, you may have a misleading impression of the height of falls, although you can withstand a lot, a fall from 3 meters can be very dangerous, and a larger one can be immediately fatal;
• Armor elements protect – try to fully equip yourself with armor. You will take less damage from a predator attack, falling, being shot, or environmental damage;
• Take care of your EVA Suit. Minor damage to the shell may not be very dangerous, but any leakage causes increased consumption of valuable air;
• Sleep. You won’t survive more than a few days without sleep, and after less than a day your options will be significantly limited;
• Plan your sleep. Exploring at night can be useful, for example, it allows you to see certain hazards or natural food more clearly, but in general it’s better to plan your sleep so that you can operate during the day;
• Be careful of rock crevices and dangerous places. If you get stuck – no one here will come to your aid;
